I recommend taking a weekday off...

You can take a 4 mile trot around Diamond Head in beautiful sunny weather, and then find the taco truck you've heard about from everyone...

Located off of Kapahulu on Mokihana St. (right across Safeway), we ordered burritos.

Then we couldn't resist eating some shave ice with ice cream, while waiting for said burritos. Who knew Waiola was on this street? Apparently they've been there for 2 years. Lucky us for stumbling upon this location, while searching for that taco truck!

You gotta love Hawaii.

President's Day Weekend...

This marks the last weekend, before a ton of work starts for me. It was a crazy, busy weekend, starting with our house guest, Sally. Cute Norwich with big eyes. Total sweetheart. She kept Bear company and made Bruce feel extra loved. I think she'll be with us for a few more days.

We did the Pow Wow thing on Saturday night (see my previous entry). On Sunday, we checked out the Cloth Hawaii event at the Edition Hotel.

I was so distracted with the shopping that I didn't take any pictures. Needless to say, I went to dinner that night at Paesano's in Manoa and wore one of my new purchases. Sadly, the only picture I got was of dessert. Vanilla tartufo. Like a medium bon bon.

For Monday, we've been planning to take my nephew to the beach. It was a little voggy, but overall still nice weather.

They left me on the sand, as they swam for the rocks.

They brought lots of sea creatures to show me...

We left everyone with a shell and more than 2 legs at the beach and headed for Waiola. We stood in line...

And enjoyed some shave ice goodness...

I'm already wondering where the next 3 day weekend is on my calendar!!!
