Another year older and queen for the day!
My birthday started out with gorgeous roses waiting for me on the dining room table. I am a lucky girl!
So on this day, I get to make all the choices. I requested lunch from Gulick in Kalihi...
and I wanted to eat it at my mom's house with all her dogs. Here's Hershey and Sally...
More dogs trying to get some food...
Mmmm...lunch...
Then it was time to head over to my sis's house for cupcakes with my niece and nephew. I got a chocolate cupcake from Cake Couture. This is what older sister's are for!!
My sister scraped off half of my nephew's frosting for fear that he would just eat that and leave the cake behind.
Teaching my niece how to use the iphone...
My sister and cutie patootie niece...
Then for dinner, I requested the seafood buffet at Pacific Beach Hotel. We rarely get down to Waikiki, but this was a good excuse. The create your own pasta, raw oysters, and almond float were highlights. Seeing the diver in the aquarium is always very cool. One year we went for my mom's birthday and I paid extra to have the diver swim by with the sign that says, "Happy Birthday Georgia." That was worth every penny. That would be a cool way to propose to someone, too.
Here I am with a giant chocolate dipped strawberry...
Exhausted after an all day celebration...
Another birthday for the books! As I get older, I say hold the liquor and bring on the food. Yes indeed, I am a lucky girl.

When times are hard...
you can still find cute shoes on the cheap. One of my customers had on a cute pair from Charlotte Russe, so I decided to check it out. The deal was buy 1, get another 1 for $10. So if I do the math, these were a mere $25!!
And they're flat, so I can wear them to work!!

Halloween candy is ready!
I'm blaming my dad and Diane for all the little children who won't get any candy this year, because they left this bowl with me. Now I have to stare at it for 25 more days and try to leave a few morsels for the children. Problem is that they bought THE best candy ever!! Reeses, KitKat, Tootsie pops, snickers, rolo....OMG!

My interview with Cloth Hawaii...
So I try to keep from talking about the store too much on this blog, but I worked so hard on this interview with Cloth Hawaii that I think it's definitely post worthy in every possible place. Looking forward to several more interviews!! Not looking forward to all the time I'll be spending on iMovie, trying to figure out how to put it together.

On this Labor Day...
We labored the day away at the Ala Moana store. Bruce and I felt we deserved a treat and headed to Mexico on School St. in Kalihi.
We got there shortly after closing, but the staff was super nice and let us sit down and eat.
Free chips and salsa...
Fun decor...
Big ass, cinnamon-filled horchatas....
Crab burrito for me. Not imitation crab meat and not on the menu. Tons of sour cream and green sauce on the side. Delish!
Bruce had a beef burrito. See the green sauce? Bruce had no idea that it was super hot habanero sauce. Needless to say, he couldn't finish it cause his mouth was on fire.
Thank you Mexico, for brightening our work-filled holiday!!

Good-Bye Party for Queenie!
Got together with the old Kapiolani gang for a good-bye party for Queenie. She's moving to the Bay Area this week. I worked with her for 5 years and have remained friends with her long after I left my Early Intervention job to work at the store full time. She's always been such a supporter of myself and everyone around her. I know great things lie ahead for her.

Cloth Hawaii cameo pendant
Made by one of my favorite local designers, Cloth Hawaii! I love the use of vintage pieces to make something brand new again. This is the most chic recycling ever!!

Chloe's 2nd birthday party: woof!
Bear went to...
Chloe's 2nd birthday party. This little girl can party. She was running around the entire time. She only stopped to munch on some pupcakes.
There's Moki and Darwin chowing down on some pupcakes.
Yes, that's a biscuit bar for the doggies. Humans were fed well and enjoyed an open bar.
Bear got to hang out with Koko and Auntie Nelly.
As usual, Chloe's birthday was fabulous!
